Minding your p’s and q’s

How polite are you?  Realllly?  Plinky wants to know

Here are a few Plinky topics from last week that I am going to try to answer.  If I expect the kids to be able to pop out responses on command to ‘interesting and engaging topics’ then I, the educated one, should be able to do the same.

(I don’t really expect that from them but you know what I mean.)

When was the last time that you thanked someone?

Minding your p’s and q’s

I say ‘thank you’ often so that was an easy one.

I thanked the teacher at my daughter’s camp when she gave me the sign in sheet and I thanked the Security Guard at the camp when she allowed me to leave the gate ahead of her.

I thanked the workers in the restaurant where I had my breakfast.  I thanked the gentleman who gave me my menu, the young lady who gave me my menu, the young man who took my order, brought me my food and took my money when I paid.

Thank you is one of the easiest ways to show your respect for someone.  I hope that we all do it often.
